Experience

Elise has been a food writer for eight years. Her first published work was for Spoon University (the ultimate resource for college foodies) where she served as Managing Editor at the College of Charleston. When she graduated, she started her own food blog, Cookin' with Booze. The blog has since evolved into short-form videos that she shares on TikTok and Instagram to help people eat like a local in Charleston. Her expertise in the Charleston food scene led to the opportunity to write for several local publications, and now her own newsletter.

Education

Elise earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at the College of Charleston. While she did not pursue a career in psychology, joining Spoon University in college jumpstarted her food writing career.
