  • After writing a self-published travel blog for a few years, Rachael was chosen by her favorite travel blogger, The Blonde Abroad, to be a part of a 10-day blogging retreat in Bali, Indonesia in 2017. During her time there, she was able to connect with other writers, attend lectures and workshops, and gain valuable insight into her chosen field.
  • Rachael has been writing for more than five years for various freelance clients, including The Market Place and Liberty Medical, on topics including travel, medicine, real estate, and the outdoors.
  • In 2019, Rachael became the head English writer for a volunteer travel exchange agency known as Worldpackers. Her writing is featured in articles and landing pages on their website that aim to teach travelers how to explore the world with purpose.

Experience

For over five years, Rachael has had the opportunity to write articles for several online publications and clients. Her former travel blog, Let's Grow There, earned three blogging awards within the travel writing community. Since the pandemic began, Rachael has taken a break from travel writing but hopes to continue doing so in the future. Rachael hopes to eventually write about other subjects she's passionate about, such as crafting, cosplay, and gaming.

Education

Rachael received her Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from BYU-Idaho in 2018. Having this experience helped her pursue graphic design work as a freelancer, which led to other freelance opportunities in writing.
