  • A budding chef, he loves researching and experimenting with beginner-friendly, inexpensive recipes as part of his cooking journey.

Experience

Toby moved to New York City over a decade ago to attend New York University, and he has called the city home ever since. He began his writing career working on shows like "Cyberchase" and "Blaze and the Monster Machines." He went on to pursue freelancing roles, covering entertainment news for Screen Rant and history for The Archive and Grunge. Life in the five boroughs exposed him to a variety of unique flavors, and he brought his love of Argentine and Latino cuisine to his writing role on "Dora." He created episodes that introduced alfajores, empanadas, and churros to children around the world. He has a keen interest in trying new foods, especially lesser-known cuisines, and can boast of having tried food from over 50 countries. Inspired by this diversity of dishes, he's currently developing an animated pilot about a girl running a food truck out of her trusty spaceship.

Education

Toby attended New York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dramatic writing with a concentration in television and a minor in producing.
